A native of New Orleans, Alice Wilson-Fried attended Tulane University and later worked in public relations at the Delta Queen Steamboat Company. For the past twenty-eight years, Alice has lived in California with her husband, Frank Fried of Chicago who passed away on January 13, 2015. She is the mother of two, stepmother of three, and grandmother of nine. She enjoys playing tennis, reading and writing. She has two published works--a nonfiction entitled MENOPAUSE, SISTERHOOD AND TENNIS and the first of her mystery trilogy called OUTSIDE CHILD set in New Orleans before Katrina. OUTSIDE CHILD received the 2008 Silver Award for excellence in Independent Publishing, and named Finalist in the 2008 Next Generation Indie Book Award . She is currently working on the sequels to Outside Child, focusing the second novel during Hurricane Katrina and the third on the aftermath of the devastating storm. Other writings include a screenplay entitled THE HOT-FLASH CAPER which placed first in the 2008 East of Eden Writers Conference Contest.
